In Ayurveda, the change of season is the natural time to cleanse, because the body is already letting go of the last one.

## Spring Cleanse: Balancing Kapha

Spring embodies Kapha, the energy of Water and Earth. I invite you to mirror nature's awakening with a gentle cleanse, a natural reset from winter's hearty fare to embrace lighter spring-inspired nourishment. Ayurvedic cleanses focus on warm, easily digested foods that allow your body to release what no longer serves you, environmental toxins, emotional blockages, accumulated stress, and processed food residues. This gives your body the conditions it needs to rest deeply and restore itself.

## Fall Cleanse: Balancing Vata

Fall embodies Vata, the energy of Air and Ether. There's a natural impulse in autumn to gather inward, to slow down, build warmth, and prepare for the stillness ahead. I invite you to honor that impulse with a grounding cleanse, one that fortifies your nervous system, steadies scattered energy, and nourishes the deep tissues that carry you through the colder months. Where the spring cleanse clears and lightens, the fall cleanse roots and replenishes. Both are necessary. Both leave you better prepared for what the season asks of you.

### Traditional Tools

These are the foundational tools of Ayurvedic self-care, simple, effective, and used for centuries for good reason:

- Copper tongue scraper
- Dry brush and gloves for lymphatic stimulation
- Triphala
- Cumin, coriander, and fennel digestive tea
- Custom Kapha or Vata spice blend (seasonal)
- Organic white rice and red split lentils
