Soften. Return. Pelvic steaming, also called yoni steaming, is a traditional practice for every threshold of life, personalized to your body. Steaming invites you to listen: to your body's rhythms, to the intelligence of your cycles, to the quiet language of your womb. This practice has been carried across generations and cultures, from Southeast Asia to Central America to Africa, passed between women who understood that warmth, plants, and intention together make medicine. The practice is simple: sit over gently steaming herbs and let them nourish your pelvic bowl. The consultation teaches you to know your body well enough to steam with precision. Note: Pelvic steaming is contraindicated during active pregnancy and menstruation. ![Harumi seated on a wooden steam box in a white hooded top, eyes closed, her hands resting in meditation](https://www.vivianraelambert.com/media/harumi-on-the-steam-box-facing-5c0938.jpg) ## What Steaming Can Help With ### Reproductive Transitions Menarche, postpartum, perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause. Steam offers steady, time-tested support at every threshold of a woman's life. ### Physical Support Traditionally supports cycle regulation, hormone balancing, increased lubrication, tissue strengthening or softening, womb wellness, infection release, and pelvic floor strength. ### Deep Restoration Traditionally supports pain relief, nervous system settling, and fertility. The slow release of tension, including the kind the body holds long after the mind has moved on. ### For All Bodies While this tradition has often centered around women's health, pelvic steaming benefits all bodies with pelvic organs. Lingam steaming offers distinct and meaningful support for men. ![Woman sitting for a pelvic steam on a carved wooden box among saguaros](https://www.vivianraelambert.com/media/pelvic-steam-session-new-river-arizona-1e3368.jpg) ## Your Consultation Every body is different. The wrong herbs, frequency, or duration can do more harm than good, which is why a personalized plan matters. In the company of a small circle, you will receive a guided herbal steam while I hold space with meditation and live sound. We move through the history and wisdom of the practice together, honor the body through optional journaling and sharing, and close with song. Provided: the cedar pine sauna box, herbal steam tea, blankets, bolsters, and a nourishing snack. These ceremonies are offered regularly at select venues around the Phoenix area. They are also available for private groups. If you'd like to bring this experience to your community, reach out. See [upcoming ceremony dates](https://www.vivianraelambert.com/pelvic-steam-ceremonies/) $75 per ceremony. Pre-registration required.
