Flower essences are made by gathering a plant's flowers and infusing them in water under the sun or moon. The essence of the plant's gifts is imbued in the water, which is then preserved with cognac. This "mother essence" is diluted a second time to make the "stock essence," and a third time to make the "flower essence."
